It's Not You, It's M.E
Please play full screen with headphones. This will not work on mobile.
This interactive point-and-click energy simulator is based on the lived experience of artist Matt Allen. It's Not You, It's M.E. is a game you can't win, full of mini-games that often are impossible to complete. Matt has Long Covid and M.E.
As there is no one size fits all representation of energy-limiting conditions, this game shows some of the day-to-day challenges by simulating one week in a fictional version of his life.

NICE
I dont have words to describe how much this game means to me. Every single part of this game has been pulled straight out of my day to day and out of my memory of when my fatigue was the worst. From the texts to the compromises (I hardly ever got dressed if it meant I could eat), to the days being much shorter than you recall days being.
I sincerely hope this game reaches more people, not only those with shared experience, but also non-chronically ill people who can play this game to understand the experience. This is a beautiful game, and I hope that you, Matt Allen, get the pacing, rest, and joy that you deserve.
Thank you for the kind words.
